This has been our Maya month with beautiful Mayan weddings.
Amy and Andy were married on the beach in Playa del Carmen
Cream and pink were her colors with the beauty of the flute guiding her to her groom and the turquoise background of the Caribbean sea in Playa del Carmen.
Whew! In just three weeks we pulled this one off perfectly for the doctors Traci and Brian. They had a lovely Catholic mass, mariachi parade and fun-filled reception on teh beach catered by Ajua Maya restaurant.
Great fun with a Reggae Band, Baby Back Ribs, and playing in the surf.
A family reunion Thanksgiving feast with Brenda’s own Virginia family’s recipes
A lovely wedding on the beach with a bouquet of orchids and Casablancas followed by a deliciously fun Ajua Maya Reception
Unfortunately due to Wilma the Worst, who vanquished hurricanes from the area for at least another 25 years, delayed this wedding. It was moved forward to April; however, much to the sadness of the bride it was eventually held in California. We are sorry we missed sharing this wonderful day with Diana and José and hope that had a fantastic California wedding — not the Caribbean turquoise sea and white sands but beautiful as well.
A wonderful party with grilled shrimp, Angus Beef, and lots of Ajua Maya fun with the music of Mescla Latina, live!
A great beginning to blend the two familes together — one from Texas and the other from Holland. They all had fund at a beach party the night before the wedding.
Becky was a wonderful person to work with to plan this wedding in just a few weeks.
She had never met us, never been to Playa, and pulled together a beautiful beach wedding in paradise where all the guests could easily fly in to and enjoy the experience. We loved her wedding and Becky as well.
She had the wonderful idea to create placecards with a personal note hidden inside of them and a fantastic slide show of their “courtship” throughout the wonderful cities in Europe and the USA.
Her cake was beautiful and she surprised her groom with a Groom’s cake in the shape of a wooden clog (shoe). What fun!
Now she and Erwin have moved to New York and we hope they are doing well.
