We were thrilled to see Debbie and Adam again after meeting them earlier in the year.  Despite the clouds earlier in the day, the sun appeared for the ceremony at Nuestra Señora del Carmen.  Following the ceremony, mariachis escorted the couple down fifth avenue, with a brief pit stop at Ajua Maya for beer and margaritas to go.  The reception was held on the beach at the Royal Hotel.

Despite the rain, mariachis escorted Tanya and Oliver with their guests down 5th Avenue to Ajua Maya Restaurant for the Reception.   Guests enjoyed cocktails while family photographs took place in the upstairs area of the restaurant.  Following dinner, the band played and everyone enjoyed dancing into the evening!

Tanya and Oliver’s wedding coincided with Tropical Storm Ida here in Playa del Carmen. The rain held off for the ceremony and friends and family celebrated the marriage at the packed Capilla de Nuestra Señora del Carmen.  Despite the rain after the ceremony, guests were troopers and patiently waited for family photos, which took some time as both Tanya and Oliver have huge families and most were able to join them here for the ceremony!

Katy contacted us in late August as she and Sandra were hoping to have their union blessed by a Mayan Shaman during a short visit to Playa del Carmen.   We were delighted to be able to arrange this ceremony for them.  The ceremony celebrated their partnership and was based on the Maya’s connection to the earth and the universe.  Katy and Sandra met with the Shaman a few days before the ceremony so he could explain what would be included and the significance of what he would be doing, as the ceremony itself is conducted in Mayan.  The Shaman gave them both the gift of a traditional woven belt to remember this day.

Despite a date change, Wendy and Rob were finally able to join all their family and friends to celebrate their marriage here!  The whole group stayed at Xaman Ha condos for the week long festivities.  The couple, with their wedding party and family, enjoyed a welcome dinner at Ajua Maya, joined later in the evening by the rest of the group for drinks, dancing and fun.  Their wedding day was beautiful, with the ceremony on the beach next to the hotel, followed by dinner overlooking the Caribbean.

We met Jimmy and Lausanne last year when they were visiting sites in the Riviera Maya for their wedding.  We were excited to see them and again and be there with them for their beautiful beach wedding.  You can see photos of the ceremony and reception at Ajua Maya restaurant on their photographer’s blog at http://www.earth13.com/weddings/jimmy-and-lausanne.

Gracie and Michael continued the festivities with a cocktail party and reception close to the Capilla.  Following group photos, mariachis escorted the party to the nearby beach club Las Ruinas.  Ajua Maya catered the dinner.  The DJ kept the party going after dinner and everyone continued dancing!

Gracie & Michael joined family and close friends for their intimate Catholic ceremony at the Capilla de Nuestra Señora del Carmen in downtown Playa del Carmen.  Father Bernard performed the ceremony in Spanish and English.  Mariachis met the couple outside the church and escorted the guests to the reception.

Lynn and Laura celebrated their commitment to each other in an intimate ceremony with family at Casa la Roca, a beautiful villa in Puerto Aventuras.
