Courtney & Gavin’s Civil Wedding (50 Attendees)
Monday, May 28th, 2007When Gavin went for a job interview in Alabama, his future boss was afraid that a young, single scientist would get bored in this area of the country. He was so eager to recruite Gavin and decided to introduce him to Courtney, so that she could show him the highlights of the area. It was love at first sight. After a little over a year of dating, Gavin was sure he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Courtney and popped the question at the baggage claim in the airport.
Playa del Carmen was the setting of their beautiful ceremony. A family friend, who is also their minister, was able to join them on this trip and was delighted to preform this ceremony for them.
A cocktail party and steel drum band made for an amazing and festive afternoon! What a great ambiance! Even the higher power agreed and created some beautiful clouds that literally spelled the word: JOY!
Marli & Adam’s Christian Wedding (40 attendees)
Saturday, May 26th, 2007It is true! The third time really is a charm. After buying two different wedding dresses (which luckily she was able to sell), Marli found the most amazing dress! A beautiful ceremony, followed by a fun mariachis parade and dinner in Ajua Maya. What a great day!
Amanda & Nathan Spiritual Wedding (80 Attendees)
Saturday, May 19th, 2007The garden area, next to Amanda and Nate’s amazing villa was the scenario for this special ceremony. With a beautiful view on the turquoise ocean and in the presence of a great group of their family and friends, Amanda and Nate were united in marriage!
After giving it a lot of thought, Amanda picked pink, orange and lime green as the main colors for her wedding, what a great combination, the perfect accent to an already gorgeous wedding!
The cocktail party in the beautiful patio was followed by a mariachis parade to their reception in Casa del Agua. Lots of people gathered around to see the newly weds perform their first dance on the streets!
Amanda and Nate found a great way to show the loving relationship they have with their parents and grandparents. All of them were and/or still are happily married for their entire lives and this deserves some special attention! Instead of showing pictures of themselves (they figured they would get sufficient attention as it is!) they showed the engagement and marriage pictures of their previous generations!
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Amanda and Nate decided to have cupcakes! They were subtly decorated with pink sparkles and definitely made a big impact.
