Bianca and Gabriel’s Secluded Beach Ceremony & Ajua Maya! Wedding Reception!

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

Bianca and Gabriel, along with their family and friends, spent the week in Cancun but decided to have their wedding ceremony and reception in Playa del Carmen at a beautiful secluded beach and Ajua Maya restaurant.  The evening ceremony was beautiful under canopy matching the Caribbean Sea.  Their guests really enjoyed the evening with Ajua’s live band Tierra Vera dancing Salsa and Cumbia.   We hope everyone caught their early morning flight the next day!

Sheila & Eric’s Catholic Ceremony

Friday, July 11th, 2008

Sheila and Eric were married by Father Bernard in Nuestra Señora del Carmen, a large, beautiful church here in Playa del Carmen.  They brought with them Jill Higgins, a destination wedding photographer based out of the Southern U.S.  Her lovely photos of the ceremony and reception at the Fairmont Mayakoba can be found on her blog at http://www.jillhiggins.com/blog/index.php?link=154&cat=3.

You made it a pleasure to concentrate on what I needed to do for the couple.

Dear Stephanie,  Thank you for your lovely email.  It too was a pleasure working with you, Samantha and your boss. You made it a pleasure to concentrate on what I needed to do for the couple. Yes, it was enjoyable to be available and be there for Candice and Eric.  Watching them laugh, smile and cry told me I fulfilled their wishes.  I did enjoy my time at the Royal and walking along 5th avenue until the wedding began.  The Chuppah was beautiful along with the flowers, the whole set-up on the beach was simple, but sooo elegant!   I often tell couples it does not matter what size your wedding is, it can always be beautiful, especially with detail oriented coordinators such as yourself and your team. (smiles).

Thank you for keeping me in mind for other couples.  It will be my pleasure to work with you again. All the best,  Rabbi Andrea Frank

Candice & Eric’s Interfaith Jewish Wedding & Reception at the Royal

Monday, July 7th, 2008

Candice and Eric’s Interfaith-Jewish ceremony took place at the Royal hotel in downtown Playa del Carmen.  The ceremony (and tears!) began with the signing of the ketubah in their suite.  The couple, with close family, moved down to the beach to have their spiritual ceremony under their chuppah in front of the Caribbean, as Candice had always dreamed about.  The couple brought along photos of friends, family, and their dog who could not join them, and these were displayed at the ceremony and the reception.  The reception took place in the beautiful gazebo at the Royal, overlooking the ocean.
