Well, Janey is an interior designer so the pressure was on. What a great woman and the same for her new husband. Flowers were important for us and for her and I think we succeeded in creating a truly new look for her.

Wedding Photos coming soon. Her bouquet was absolutedly beautiful.

Here are some shots of the Ajua Maya Receptions.

Fantastic Weather — Hurricane threat nil?

Tuesday, July 25th, 2006

I am sure many of you are wondering if a Wilma the Worst will hit here again this summer or fall, right? Well, breathe a sigh of relief for us and for you. Our weather has been perfect this year — much cooler than the last three years with a bit of  a shower every few days to cool off the temperatures and the water — and it is the water temperatures that control the paths of hurricanes.

So, up there in the good old USA you better watch it! Your hot weather and warm waters are a magnet for hurricanes and they are expected to head up your way without even glazing the Riviera Maya’s coastline. And, so it seems, the predictions are true! The second tropical storm of the year zoomed up to the coast of Maine.

We wish our northern brethren Godspeed and hope you will come visit us down here in the cooler tropics where the water is turquoise, the sand white, and where life is beautiful and easy.

Whew!!!! We have been busy this week!

Sunday, July 23rd, 2006

Take a look at our most recent weddings by clicking on they July Archive. We just missed having our first rain sodden wedding by 15 minutes on Friday. It rained all day and then just 15 minutes before the ceremony the sun came out.

Saturday was another wedding and we have another one on Monday! We love it. Keep them coming and the rain away!

Bride el cielo 1    portrait    portrait couple    bride beach

Hello from Texas! Just wanted to let you know how elated we were to see all our pictures! What a whirlwind of excitement we had… most of all being over an hour late to our own wedding!!!  We cannot say enough about how organized and thorough everyone was in helping us pull it together. Later in the pictures, I forgot all those little details I decided on at home and realized that in the chaos, Erika had already taken care of everything. She really did do a great job at orchestrating an otherwise “out-of-tune” group :)

Also, I cannot stop raving about the flowers…every picture I show someone, I can’t help but comment on the bouquet. Maartje amazed me by knowing exactly what I wanted. The center pieces and all of the decor on the tables were beautiful.

The sand ceremony was such a nice touch. It sits on a shelf in our family room to remind us of one of the greatest days we ever had together.

Life is tough to get used to after our return… it has taken us about 3 weeks to regulate and realize that the pace of life there really is better for your soul. But the sand isn’t the only thing we brought back… it seems we also have a little “honeymoon souvenir” due in May!

We can’t wait to return… we expect to see you in 10 years or so for a renewal ceremony with extra members of our family. Thanks for the wonderful memories and times we will share with the next generation of our new family.

Private Wedding in Soliman Bay, wedding reception catered Ajua Maya

We just wanted to say thank you SO much for a fabulous Mexico wedding!  Everyone had a BLAST and it couldn’t have been better!  We both appreciate all you did to make sure it was our “dream wedding.”

Coming back home from beach life was a little tough, but we had two HUGE receptions to look forward to (and prepare for).  Needless to say, we’ve been very busy.  The photos and video all arrived on time and were great–everyone said the video made them feel like they were there.  As much as we’ve enjoyed our month-long wedding celebration, we’re glad to settle in to real life and enjoy being married.

Thank you, again, so much for everything!  We’re so glad we found you!  Please feel free to use us as a reference–we’d love to tell others what a great job you did for us.

Take care,
Cara & Justin
